Hello! I'm Parker, as you can see from this website. I serve as an English lecturer at the University of-Milwaukee, where I obtained a Master's in English with a specialization in Rhetoric and Professional Writing. I came to my institution with the intention to teach first-year writing courses, having known from a young age that I wanted to share my passion for writing with audiences who, like me, were once apprehensive to delve into an art so often disguised as common knowledge.

I'm also an aspiring scholar in composition! As the Conference on College Composition and Communication (CCCC) states, "the very premises of what it means to be literate and to teach literacy are undergoing rapid change" . Because of such upheavals, I have pursed research that will support our future students' civic and democratic responsibilities to be literate, critical, and deliberative ("Principles for the Postsecondary Teaching of Writing"). I have experience researching alongside the Two-Year College Association on matters that communicates the needs of access-oriented institutions, as well as those that address reading concerns as supported by the Modern Language Association.

In addition to my teaching and scholarly pursuits, I have a passion share what I've learned with an online audience. I am currently creating an online education business that connects at-home educators with the necessary tools to teach their students topical and temporally relevant lessons in writing, reading, and critical thinking. I aim provide families and students with a pathway to explore their interests while acquiring knowledge essential for AI emerging age.
